Movie review "The Goldfinch" - The sufferings of the young Theo

Dramatic cinema in the context of film adaptations of works is a rather specific area of cinema; it usually meets with a lot of discussions, the context of "the best book or movie." This requires the outstanding creative skills of the film's team, for example, the dramatic film "The Click" (Goldfinch) directed by John Crowley based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Tartt; the film is being released on September 27, and its premiere screening took place at the CinemaCity cinema on the 26th - in a friendly atmosphere before the evening evenings, which have become traditional for the institution.

The plot of the film revolves around a young boy, Theo, who witnesses the death of his mother as a result of a terrorist attack in a museum - and at the same time, almost like a bird, he takes a drawing by Karl Fabricius "Click" from the museum, and which acts as a kind of "hero" of the tape. Like Oliver Twist before, fate brings him together with kind, evil, sincere, treacherous people - and as a talisman, he keeps the paper-wrapped painting as a talisman, as a reminder of his mother. Fate gives him a chance and takes him away - he goes through the exquisite chambers of Samantha Barbour's relatives, hoping to be adopted, then finds himself in the antiques trade in the vicinity of Las Vegas...

In general, the story of "Goldfinch" is a story when fate took away a person's hope, when there was only hope to change something for the better, which led to the double suffering of a young man. And, apparently, his fate would have been quite tragic if it hadn't been for his childhood friend Boris, a Russian, whose father moved to the United States from Ukraine, and James Hobart, a business partner of a deceased comrade, in the same terrorist attack. The plot is built in a fairly common "from end to beginning" style, intertwining a number of time periods of the hero's life; the pace of narration is quite unhurried. From a social point of view, we see different facets of wealth-from Samantha's aristocratic home to her loud and vague father. The camerawork corresponds to the slow pace of the tape, the only drawback is some instructively moralistic accents.

The actors' performance. Theo-boy was played by Oakes Fegley, the young man by Ansel Elgort, these actors played the roles skillfully and confidently. "The Goldfinch" is not a film of "simple roles", such pictures are not so common on the screen, and therefore it was necessary to "work" here, to find a highlight for each character. Of course, the authors also gave small roles to famous and famous actors; for example, Samantha Barbour was played by the incomparable Nicole Kidman...

About the withdrawal. "Mongol" cannot be called a pure art cinema, however, the use of popular means of narration will make the tape acceptable to a wide range of viewers who are interested in dramatic cinema, and will be interested in addressing the history of works of art.
