A pole shed (often called post-frame) is built around widely spaced vertical posts that carry the roof and walls. That spacing is what makes big, barn-style buildings feel open inside—and it’s also why layout, bracing, and straight posts matter so much.
Below is a start-to-finish build path that works for most Texas pole sheds, whether you’re going wood posts + wood framing or a steel/metal system. (You can swap materials, but the order stays pretty similar.)
